Hello Everyone. I am back from a 10 year hiatus from TF keeping. Got my first fish tank back in 1957. Started working in LFSs when I was 13. Worked in most shops in NE Baltimore, MD back in the 60's. Had to give up the hobby 10 years ago when work kept me from taking care of the fish. Now retired and setting things back up. Just finished the physical work to get 9 tanks cycling this weekend. It was fun unpacking the boxes of gear that I had put away before moving to The Eastern Shore of Virginia. We have 8 more tanks to setup but thats for after the Holidays. Now I am reading everything I can to get caught up with the new ways of doing things. Already made my first mistake. Since we are a long way from any LFS I tried using play sand in 2 tanks. Luckly I stopped at 2 cause the next day I had 2 clogged power filters. Anyway, looking to learn allot here. Jack (aka Me2)

Nice to meet you Jack and welcome to MFK.. i cannot wait to see all your tanks up and running and filled..this will be an exciting adventure so i hope you share it... post up project pics of everything... this way you can also get alot of info along the way..help others while your helping yourself... pics pics....
