I ordered 150 yamato shrimps, 100 of which were pre-ordered by a customer. After 2 days in quarantine the customer picked them up. I oxygenated the bags for transport, & the next day he lost 90 of them. The other 50 which were transferred to show tanks in the store showed no problems. A water test of the customers water showed perimeters similar to the water they were shipped in. Can oxygenating the bags have caused the losses?

Not in my opinion, Specialty Shrimps are extremely sensitive to drastic changes of any kind, be it chemistry, shock from water temp differences etc. which by the way may be the problem, if these shrimps were not properly acclimated etc. That could very easily have caused the losses.

The customer has bred various shrimps for years, & knows how to acclimatize them. That the 50 or so we put in show tanks were healthy I don`t think there was a problem with the batch. I have done some research but am none the wiser as to what could have caused the loses.
