There is going to be a yardsale near by. They listed a 55gal. complete with hood and stand. If its in good shape I might give them an offer or see how low they go with the price. How much would you pay for a used 55gal. in good shape?

I hate standard sized tanks that are any less than 18" wide.
So personally, I would just save up for a customized tank.

Its a yard sale, I would start with say 25 and work up to 100. The best way to get a deal is start low and see where they will go with it. Did you find out what they wanted for it?
I am buying a used 55gal with stand filters hood and lights for $100 bucks. I am buying it from someone i know and they just broke it down so i know it doesnt leak. I wouldnt pay more than that. If it leaks when you get it home youre gonna have a hard time getting it sealed. I bought a 30gal used and it sprung a leak i just spent 1/2 a day resealing it . but i only paid 30bucks for it w/filter, hood and light. Go for it but see if they are asking less first

$100 at the most for me. I am getting ready to have a yard sale myself. I have a 75 gallon oceanic tank with matching hood/stand and two 400 power filters. I used it for about 2 weeks before I got my 400 gallon going. I couldn't return it to the shop so I just took it down and kept it in storage for about the last year. How much would you guys price it at?
