OMG, my matamata yawns !
it does this like 1-2 times a day,
I am not really sure what it is really doing though, it could be drinking or trying to shout
anyone know what's going on?

good humor is as well come as serious reply:grinno:

Think of it this way. If you spent the whole day with your mouth shut tight for 99.9% of the time, would you want to stretch your jaws at some point? If your answer to this is no, try spending a day with your mouth closed tight, and reevaluate your decision..

have you seen him burp yet? that is always funny. It shocked me the amount of gas that came out of this sucker.

hahahaha. good one, but never seen any snake or other lizard done that

snakes yawn usually after meals and lizards gape their mouths if they are over heated and occasionally yawn as well.

Both Perry and Darwin yawn every morning and every evening, plus when they've just eaten.
