YAY For New Tanks!!

Okay so I got my 29gal today. Had to drive two hours to get it.
This guy LEAVES the cichlids in the tank with 3 inches of NASTY
and when I say nasty it was brown!! I'm like how can you do
that to a fish. If I would of known he was doing it this way
I def would have brought a big container to store them
in. I felt HORRIBLE!

The tank is nasty, its got brown patches all over the glass.
It took me and my mother an hour to get 20 baby convict cichlids
out of this tank, clean and put the tank on the stand.
I haven't even got to the rocks yet. The cichlids are in my
10gal(yes I know, its only for a few hours) till I get the 29gal
setup.

My guppies and ghost shrimp are like OMG!! AHH. Its funny.
They are running away from cichlids that are as big as my guppies.

But he gave me a filter that powers atleast a 15gal!!!
I was like REALLYYY??? Its nasty, the filter is brown.
Nice way to take care of your fish kid!
So I went out a bought a filter that does up to 30gal.
I'm def gonna need a new heater because if I'm not mistake
heaters are suppose to make jingle noises.. well the ones
I had never did.
lol

Agreed! I'd call that a rescue any day.
 
She is all pretty and clean noww!! I'm did a damn good job. hahaha
I hate the heater though, its defff going when I get my paycheck and
get a new one.

Yeah he said I was getting decor and test strips with the tank.
I got like 4 plants and one has metal in it so it sticks straight up
Well its all rusted. Defff going in the trash. I don't need fish dying
because of rust.lol

Thats okay when my boyfriend brought me the top because we
left it in the car. I didn't realize how bad it was till he handed it to me.
The part where the light sits, completely green. Ughhh!!!
 
so did you go there with rescue intentions? seems like a long way to drive for a 30 gallon??
 
It wasnt an intended rescue at all but ended up being one. No I live in Evansville(South most point of Indiana), jasper is about 1-2hours away from where I live. I went there because they had some where I lived but didn't have stands, I wanted a stand. I mean my snakes tanks are on shelves on my wall for crying out loud. lol

I sure do Mike. 55gal with stand and I also found a 75gal with stand (: I'm pretty excited!! I'm having trouble finding filters for 75gals here. Anyone have any tips for good filters? I normally use Penguin BioWheel filters. They have never done me wrong (: Simple too.

They are about the size of my fingernail (Temp 10gal tank)

This is complete setup. Sorry for it being dark, mainly wanted you
to see the TANK and not my messy room. hahaha
The cave and rock are from my 10gal. The plants are what he gave me.
punnnnnyy, so I'm going this weekend when I get paid to get bigger
ones and rocks so they can hide and what not underneath them.
