Texas
So, second night in a row for heavy thunderstorms and tornado watches! Gotta love the imminent threat of having everything crumble down on top of me (literally)....
Storm headed within about 5 miles from my house has rotations spotted and guess what...I don't have cable! I have to be on the internet to find out any updates... Ugh...
Sitting at home, with candles lit just incase power goes, almost everything but the tanks unplugged, and just waiting to hear something about the storms being past...

Just needed to vent. Now off to get the pets in the bathroom and me sleeping in the bathtub! :nilly:

Whenever that happens, i find myself on the porch hoping to see a tornado. I like Texas weather for the whole "wake up and its 39 degrees, by the time you get off work its 90+"

Texas is Awesome

You guys have it easy.
In arizona, the temperature in the summer easily gets past 110. Ive even seen it at 120 once. When it rains, it pours. For hourrrrrrrs upon hourrrrrrrrs. In the winter we're at freezing temperatures and then hail becomes a problem.

But it's a dry heat amirite

lucky! i love storms, i wish california would have crazy storms or atleast rain more often. i was in houston when hurricane IKE hit....it was amazing! would love to be in one again.

I don't mind the storms but I do not wish to see hail all of a sudden. This means a tornado is around the area. If the tornado is close and the hail has started, you only have seconds or minutes to get to safety. I had to go through all this before and it's no picnic.

When you hear the "Locomotive" it's just outside and rips up massive trees and destroys. It is a mind-blowing and chilling experience that is over pretty fast. When you go outside and survey the damage, you see how close you were to being snatched up too. It is amazing how tornadoes can skip houses, neighborhoods or pass all around a house destroying the yard and not touch the house.

Now that's Georgia weather!! Texas is known for it's tornadoes!!!. I wouldn't want to deal with that all the time. For all you Texans, try to stay safe.

I don"t care for tornadoes or power outages.
