Well my partner and I, not just me, and its more like $0.4 million, which is about $50US.
We've just bought our first house, and one of the big selling points was the brand new 2.5 car garage with a sleepout with its own bathroom. My sister will be renting it for the next 2-3 months until I get a $10/hr payrise when I've finished training for my new job, and then it will be turned into the fish lounge! Not fish room. Planning three large tanks, one for the loaches, probably 6x2x2', and will increase the pack to 50+. One for the predators, aro, bichirs, dats etc, probably 6x2x2' or slightly wider. And the centrepiece will be something around 6-8x3x2' (3' wide of course) South American tank with geophagus, uarus, severums, heckelii, angels, festivum, chocolates, plecos and maybe even some discus. I'm not going to set up one of these horrible cramped little fish rooms where the walls are lined with polystyrene and there's a million little tanks and you only go out there to feed and clean because its standing room only. The three tanks will be across the back wall with a couple of couches facing them and a well-stocked bar fridge so I can spend a few hours a week just chilling and watching the fish.
Its still a little way off, have to get used to mortgage payments first then get some money saved up, but I'll keep y'all posted on progress. 8)
