So I was making the rounds yesterday of the local fish stores, and saw that some breeder had brought in a bunch of nice looking 2" juvies! I had originally 5 angels and 1 discus in my 55gal for almost two years, but the angels never bred even though they had been showing breeding behavior for over 9 months, and figured it was time for a change.

Picked up 3x 2" discus for trade in of 5 adult angels (nothing special about them) and bought 2 more for 15 each. They look a little washed out from stress but they're now acclimated and recovering nicely! Got 1 pigeon blood, 2 red turq, and 2 blue turq.

Hope one day I have enough money to buy a few discus...

Thanks!

I know these aren't anywhere close to high quality, but I don't plan to breed these out. They're only for my own enjoyment.

1 hour in the tank so far and they're already out exploring and making friends with my existing 5-6" pigeon blood.

there you go. when I get discus I don't care about the quality of the strain just get them because you like them. personally I like sooty green discus. I don't mind a few black flecks;)

 Very nice!! "T"

looking good, and great price on those! I would be all over them at that price, and I agree, for your own enjoyment who cares...

It's a pet, therefore it's for personal enjoyment. enjoy your new friends! Hopefully they breed and you can get more! They look great, I'm itching to start my tank!
