I just picked up my new 125 for $250 and it came with glass tops, lights, 2 heaters, and 2 Eheims not sure what model yet but i'll look. Also the guy I got it from was giving me all sorts of stuff like brand new crushed coral big decorations. This is great! I can start my 40 gallon now as an african tank. So a quick question I am ordering a Jag and a Red tiger mota from Rapps and I have to put my Salvini in there because it's getting a little tight in the 40 gallon anyways would he get murdered? I guessing he wouldn't because I've seen Sals kept with jags, motas and other large preditory fish. Also I'm ordering juvis from Rapps so the salvini can hit max growth by the time the jag and mota reach 8 inches. Right now my Salvini is 5 or 6 inches and growing more. If I dont get the mota I'm probably getting a GT.

that should work,sals max out around 8-10 inches right?i have a 3-4 inch female in with my sevrum(5 in) and oscars(8,6 in) and she seems to be doing fine.i guess jags are more aggressive,but you could always get the sal a mate and they would defineatly be able to hold them off together.
Don't underestimate the sal, at that size against a juvi jag, it'll be capable of killing both the jag and mota. But the tank sounds big enough for them to be safe. However, don't expect that mota to keep up with the jag in size. Expect the mota to grow about twice as slow, so you gotta be careful about that. But they should be fine since you're raising them together.
I'm not really underestimating him but just the way he is personality wise. I mean he is the boss of the tank now only because hes got size over the other fish. Also the jag is going to be around 4" when I get him and the Mota is going to be 6 or 7". My sal already has big teeth and is a glassbanger. LOL. Thats him in my Avatar.
The jag is gonna be the under dog for a while until he gets size on him. But sounds like it'll make a cool set up.
I hope it turns out well and hopefully I can find my damn camera so I can show you guys what i got and when it's all setup. I am so glad I found this guy and I probably going to try and persuade him into giving me his other 125. LOL or I'll just give him like $75 or $100 for it.
