I got my laptop back today...

motherboard failed and they replaced it...

still have my original hard drive..

so guess what i'm doing tonight

Glad that you got it back intact. Guessing you'll be transferring the files from your laptop over to your desktop and then back them up onto DVD/CD.

After reading about your horror story, I backed up my pictures that same night onto DVDs.
