HI,
I dont know if you remember but i had a hystrix ray that died only a few days after i got her (see link to thread here :http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21280&highlight=rust9000) well i have finally plucked up the courage to try again with another female hystrix, she is 7" and i will be reciving her on august 31st she cost me 45pounds plus 15 delivary, i also ordered an 18" fire eel to go with her the eel cost me 25pounds and they are been shipped together to save postage costs, the dealer told me that they have been kept together for a while now, so i think they will settle down in my tank just fine. I know i only have a 120g (4x20"x28") but i will be ordering a 56x24x30" in a week or two, so they wiill have a 175g tank to rome in. their tanks mates are as follows:
12" silver arow,
7" giant gourami,
2 9" severums
7" perruno catfish
11" 4line pim,
i do have a 5" severum and a 10" jaguar but i have sold the jag and the severum will be moved to another tank.
I have fine white sand and 2 external filters on the tank both doing over 1000gals per hour. The tank will be almost bare bottom with only a peice of boog wood for the catfish to hide under and a few plants in the courner.
If you have any suggestions please please tell me i really dont want this one to die on me so early. thanks
