Can anyone help me find some yellow bass for sale online? Would love to have some but I can't find anywhere that sales them.
Morone mississippiensis, I didn't know another species was referred to as yellow bass. Thanks for the tip.I think to get an answer you need to provide a scientific name for the fish, the name "yellow bass" could mean any of about 10 or more species.
I live in eastern ky, white bass are common in quite a few different places but it seems that yellow bass occur mostly in the central and western part of the state. I've was hoping maybe to find some for sale on those sites where people catch native fish and sale them but it's not looking good. Not aware of anyone that has them in their species list and have never seen anyone that does. I'd bet anything if you want these fish you will have to catch them via hook and line where they are located -- if you particular state allows that. My state of Indiana would allow it as long as you have a fishing license and followed all applicable regulations on capture.
If your talking about white bass ( I know in some places people call them sand bass) then no. But they are closely related. These look like sand bass. Same thing maybe?
