this is my first post so just wondering if yous can help i have had 2 yellow bellied terrapins for a while now in a 4x2x2 they are 4" shell length yesterday i noticed that one of them was tring to bite the bothers foot then a few hours later i seen the terrapin trie and bite the other ones head so i separated them they have been together for a while with out no problems what should i do should i keep them separate or ???

I would separate them. Do you know the sexes? If they're both males that's likely the problem; males kept together will often fight.

Males will have much longer front claws and a longer, thicker tail. If you can post some pics of them we should be able to sex them for you. We just had a big thread about this actually, but it was re: eastern painted turtles rather than YBS.
