Yellow Belly Pacu

So.... At K2 Rapps had these yellow belly Pacu..I had never heard of them before but He assured me they max out at 18 inches. I was intrigued by a manageable Pacu species so I picked one up at about 4 inches. Its been about 2 months and he is pushing 10 inches already..... Now I am nervous Jeff may be incorrect about full size... Other then the massive growth spurt pretty cool fish... although he is a fin nipper...

So did anyone else pick one up? and how is it doing?
Anyone else have any additional info on them?

Thank Man.. he is cool, like his colors. No problem with the rays just chews the tails on my geos.

Looks more like the old black Pacu in the face/jaw structure. I like yellow and black a lot better than the red bellied Pacu. Maybe it will stay 18' or under. I trust Jeff's opinion, but it sure seems like it may GET HUGE. Hope not. It's really a good looking fish.

Wiki lists max size at 16-20", but heavier-boded than similar-sized red bellied, so he should be right

I picked up two. They eat like crazy and are both about 6-7 inches. They were probably 3 inches when I got them. Good quick steady growth but nothing like albino pacus I had. These two just like to chase each other around

Wow I need me one of these lol... they look awesome! Always wanted a pacu but they all get like 40 inches long or whatever outrageous leingth.

Thanks... I checked that out too.. but did you google pics? a lot look bigger then 18inches...

That's what I thought a manageable pacu (manageable on mfk that is..lol)..I am in! but now i am concerned. Rapps still has them available BTW
