I was just curious about how common yellow bullheads are both in the wild and in aquariums.
I ask because in addition to the aquarium thing I'm also an avid fisherman and until very recently I had never caught nor seen a yellow bullhead. In the last few months Ive started fishing a few new spots. I dont really fish for bullhead mainly just cats and carp but at these new holes Ive caught probably over a dozen and seen several more caught all of them yellow. Very yellow and and quite striking for a cat. If anybody knows anything about how common they are Id love to know. Im in SW pennsylvania. Thanks.

I catch hundreds in one day in a pond in north carolina. Have kept several in my aquariums. They can get rather large for a bullhead. I've caught them up to 18". Fat as can be too. Bull heads are rather hearty, and taste great if cooked right!
