Hi All, hope everyone is well :)

Quick question:

I am looking for an off the shelf product that specifically enhances yellow colors in fish. Not looking to make my own foods, hence needing an off the shelf product.

Many thanks in advance.

I assume yellow comes from xanthophyll, so food with spirulina or other algae would do the job. My preference is to mix some algaemax in fish food.

Krill is a good food to bring out red, orange and yellow colors.

Yellow is a tough one because so many foods tend to bring out the reds so much that a yellow fish a lot of times ends up turning orange.

I believe its said that Marigold powder can enhance yellows. Not sure of who else that uses that but some Aqueon pellets have it listed.

Yes, marigold is best source of xanthophyll. I think most NLS products use it as you pointed out.

Beef heart is like og food for discus. Its been used for breeders and discus keeper all around the world.

Breeders are not very scientific in this regard, their primary goal is to sale, fast growth and more colors not the best health. Fatty deposit in liver is a serious problem. RD. RD. had a post on this subject and quoted Dr. Peter Burgess, two guys who I would trust over any breeder.
