I have three yellow labs along with 9 other peacocks in 60 gal tank. One of the lab became so aggressive toward other labs . He chases them when they get close even chase other peacocks too. Should i add more yellow lab to cut down aggression or put him in a time out tank?
Oh forgot to say also just did w/c and rearranged all the rocks. He became more aggressive

This happened to me before...seemed like they were trying to establish an internal pecking order to determine who could breed with the females. I would just add more hiding places for the more timid ones to escape including large plants, which you can tie down to a slate rock as they tend to dig up fake plants.

Yellow labs are definitely not as mellow as a lot of people seem to think. My male dominated my tank with all my other mbuna.

Some become very dominant, though its a different sort of aggression as they generally dont attack a fish, especially to the death, they more so harass constantly.
A WC will generally liven them up to, as will rearranging the decor as the territory needs to be re established.
If hes not actually damaging the other fish I would let him go, it should stop.

A yellow lab is the tank boss in my Mbuna tank. He generally just chases and harasses with the occasional Blue Cobalt stopping him in his tracks once or twice a week. The thing is that there is no real "tame" Mbuna. While some aren't as aggressive as others, it doesn't mean they can't be. As mentioned already, Labs generally aren't a "death squad" fish but more of a chaser.

Adding more hiding places and rearranging decor can certainly help out for a bit, but depending on your current stock/filtration/water adding a few more will probably help more.

While you're acclimating the new fish to the new tank, stir up the substrate and move the rocks/decor around so the current inhabitants will be busy searching for their territory instead of focusing on the new blood in the tank..

the local petsmart has a 3inch electric male in a tank, when i went to check him out i put my finger by the glass and the lil bugger started attacking the glass!!!!!

i was like what the heck???

is this common?
