Somewhere
hello
so i got pair of yellow lab cichlids and they are breeding. BEcause this is community tank i decided to incubate eggs in egg thumbler . After hour of breeding i realized that female has full mouth of eggs , so i caught her and took eggs and stick them into "incubator" . today i see all eggs turned from yellow to white.
Is is good or bad?
If bad what did i do wrong?
when will she breed again?
should i put them both into 29 gall by themselves?
How long does it take for fry to hatch out?
Wont she eat eggs by mistake?

thank you for answers ;)

Sorry to say your eggs have most likely died. How long did you let the female carry them before placing the eggs in the incubator?

2 hours why?

I would just leave them to their own devices! They might take a bit to successfully breed again. She might lose one or two eggs her first couple of times but my latest breeding female have held 10-28 fry their first and second time holding! Good luck

how big are your yellow labs? I have four and they are approximately 3 inches. I was curious as to what size they start getting their eggs because when i came home from work this morning i had an area cleaned out in the corner of my tank that one female seems to stay at.
