yellow lab fry, feeding and care

I have 12 fry that my 1.5" yellow lab produced. This is my first attempt and could use some advice.
They are currently in a 1/2 gallon tank that has a 20 GPD drip from the main tank filter.

I have a 2.5 gallon, and a 30 gallon empty tank.
How long will the 1/2 gallon hold them. Size wise.
Will be feeding crushed food.
 
I would honesty move them to the 2.5 gallon now to avoid any casualties. You'd be surprised how aggressive those babies can be. As long as they can find the food the bigger the tank the better.
 
I like to grow them out in a 20G Long and feed NLS Grow for extra protein until they are 1.5" long. Some change water daily...but definitely try to change more than the usual 50% weekly.
 
I am in the middle of renovating my sump, so their still in a floating 1/2 gallon tank.
I might have a 30 gallon cube ready by this week end.
How big of a tank can they be in and still find food?
 
After the first few days they are fine in a 20G that is 30" long.
 
I have a 75 gallon also, so if I put a center divider in it. That would be much easier, as it is quick to water change. I am thinking 75 gallons would last a while with such a small bioload.

75g would let them their whole life till you decide what you want to do with them. When I used to breed Africans and ran short on space. I simply put in a divider.
 
I always find that the flow on the side of the divider without the filter is sluggish...that does not happen to you?
