Not really, you just have to buy smart, from trusted sources that specify collection location. This is exactly why one should avoid most LFS when buying African cichlids - especially those marked "mixed" anything.
I was looking for common names, as pseudo trophus elongatus. Is like calling my cat a "felis cactus". Which seems to cover, all domestic breeds.
Mean blue mbuna fish. Seams to fit.

One of the worst things for this hobby has been the use of common names by wholesalers and vendors.
