does yellow mono need to be full salt when they grow up to full size? i have four small one like 2.5 inches but i keep them in freshwater, i just added some salt mix to the water. my tank is 35 gallon so can i just keep them in freshwater with salt mix even if they grow up?

Yes, they live in the ocean, as adults. You're gonna need a way bigger tank when they grow. "Some salt" won't do, get a hydrometer.

but i cant make it full salt for them cuz i have tiget datnoids with them, so ar they gonna servive in freshwater when they ar adults? i got a hydrometer at home and what is the level of salt they need?

Which species of Tiger dat do you keep? Some prefer BW. Either way, the mono is a schooling soecues that grows to the size of your outstretched hand. A 300+g tank is required to keep a healthy school of monos.

i have indo tiger, but i did some research last nite, some ppl said u can keep adults in freshwater with some salt but then the ph have to over 8

You'll eventually need a marine tank for the monos.

These are one of the few fish in the bw trade that truly require/do best with higher salinity with age. Most others either need a fixed range of salinity throughout life, or tolerate the full range independent of age.

The huge schools of monos in the marine tanks at the animal kingdom restraunts at Disney were most impressive. Seeing them in that large setting reinforced the schooling nature of these fish anfd their space requirements. They grow fast, and most home aquarists simply lack the means to meet their needs.
