Interesting fish. I'll move this to the Central and South American Cichlids section instead of the POTM section to see if you get any replies. This was a first for me, but I'm not a cichlid fan.
 
Looks to be part gold JD and part normal, I seem to remember one other similar JD being posted on here before. There's pics of jaguar cichlids online with similar traits to.
I would think it's very rare, definitely worth breeding then crossing the baby's to see if it's reproduced.

I have never seen one like it before the people said it was yellow morph so I’m thinking that one of the parents carried the trait or was a yellow
 
That is one unique dempsey. That jag was a member on heres fish. It faded completely yellow in like a months time if i remember correctly
 
He does show blue dots I know it’s hard to see that in the pic but he does have blue and then pink around his neck
 
I had a JD that did a similar thing. It seemed to start to turn gold but then stopped and reverted back. It had the same gold fin rims as yours has. In the end it didn't change but always kept gold lips.
