:iagree:
Go catch one, they are easily caught with a minnow or worm. Hurry up though, they won't be biting as soon as it starts getting colder.

There is no where to purchase or catch them around here. But eric let me know and I can start searchin for some. I know some places to look.

up here in massachusetts, perch season is year round and I catch them even in mid november.

They usually come up like a foot long... If anyone from massachusetts is reading this, I caught it in jamaica pond in Boston. (caught some juvinile chian pickerels too)

Hey meepster, baby chain?!?!?!?! Sweeeeeeeet, what else is in there????? I live in Mass too,but i'm near Fall River. No juvinile predators around, except LMB.

well, in jamaica pond, I caught a baby chain pickerel and it was like 3 inches... I didn't know what the hell it was at the time (thought it was a huge minnow) so it went onto my dinner table (ahh it was illegal to take it in the first place!!)

chain pickerel and bass are pretty much the only predators in jamaica pond. Its overrun with pond snails, shiners, minnows, crayfish... and landlocked salmon :)
