Yellow Tail Barracuda Fin Rot?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If it is, it's a dang aggressive type of fin - 2 days. What are it's tank makes ? Also like a better shot at the head looks more like a dog snout than a "false" snout.

Quarintine, 50% Water Change, Loose the Carbon if used, Salt Half Dosage, Easy on the traffic and light, and Melafix.

This is the most common disease when it come to cudas, melafix should do the job raise the temp to 86. Probably stressed from being harassed by another tank mate, add plants on top level of the tank helps them a lot with stress mark my words.

He is housed with a 4" Juruense Cat that wouldn't hurt a fly. I came home after buying some feeders for him and I saw him floating at the top dead...

Yikes! - Sorry fot your lose. I've been reading more and more from various sources that the Ace.Cudas have alot of problems when they are shipped during the cold season not really sure if that applies to your location in FL. I won't be buying anymore Aces mysel til' spring just in case.

It's all year. Cudas (at least falcirostris) are terrible shippers and stores will lose like half of them after a week no matter when they order them. Whenever you buy one, make sure it's eating fine and then see if you can put it on hold for a week or so. Also, they generally get ick pretty quickly after shipping as well.

Looks like I'm not going to be keeping anymore for a long time. When I do I'm going to just keep Red Tails or really anything besides Falcirostris.
