I've been thinking about adding a lizard to my collection of pets.

I've never had a lizard before that I can think of, but I've been doing a lot of research on the yellow throat plated lizard.

They don't seem to get huge, and they state they are pretty timid, and east to tame.

Plus, I think they are gorgeous!

Does anyone on here have any that they keep? Pics? Advice?!

BUMP?!

I have not had them personally but my bio teacher has them, she keeps them in a 55gl tank with sand, rocks, fake plants, and some hides. Idk what watt her heat lamps are though, she does keep a shallow water dish with them. Feeds them meal worms, crickets, and lettuces I believe. They are pretty cool lizards. Sorry I am not a whole lot of help and don't keep any personally or have pics but hope I helped.

They're pretty neat, though personally I like the Sudan Plated Lizards a little better. I want a pair or trio of each in the future..

OOh, those Sudans are niiiiice.

But fiance said no to reptiles.. so I need to tell him that I'm just going to get a rat then.

We will see how quick he lets me get a lizard. lol.

^LOLL

get a bearded dragon or a bearded dragon morph, awesome lizards with a real personality! you can keep a full grown one in a 40g breeder for minimal sizes to enclosures but a nice 55 or 60 would be better. really cool herp, i use to have some awhile back. thinking about getting back into the herp hobby also. btw the bd i use to have use to dance (by bobbing his head) when ever i turn on music lol :)

I want something that gets a bit larger.. not really into bearded.

As of Friday, I will be the proud owner of a Sudan plated lizard!
