i recently put a nice pice of drift wood in my 125 that i got from the resivoir and now my water is yellow....are there any good ways to clear this up without tearing the tank back apart? thanks for any input

I think the best method is to have boiled the driftwood to get all or most of the tannis out. Otherwise, just do water changes.
yeah i wanted to clean it better first but the peice is 5' long and i didn't have a pan that big....LOL
Carbon goes in the filter. Change your water every day in small amounts,twice a week in moderate amounts(10%-30%), once a week(40%-75%). When i added driftwood to my aquarium I had to do 50% water changes twice a week for months...yes, months. Believe it or not, the tanins actually dont hurt anything...it just looks funny, unless, you are going for a blackwater natural environ...some people go for that look.
i had a 5 foot peace also i left it in the shower and would soak it every day in warm or hot water usually while taking a shower lol just try not to get soap or shampoo on it
