hey guys
i was wondering if theyre was anyways to get rid of yellowish water that comes from the wood?
besides taking the wood out or water changes
because water changes havent worked for me

Keep doing water changes, get used to the color or try Seachem Purigen.

:iagree:

Do water changes. Maybe use charcoal?

stop peeing in the water... dur..

the tannins will eventually stop leeching out into your water and the water changes will remove the coloration that is already there.. just be patient it takes a long time

hot water in a large cooler (one with a drain).

Take the wood out and boil wood in water for 2 hours. Otherwise the yellowish tanin will stop leeching out after six months.
The wood doesn't stop leaching tannins. It will continue doing so for years although the amount of tannins leached gradually diminishes over time.

I had a large amount of wood in a 60 gallon, it was brown for a long time (actually liked it, same with fish) and decided to add carbon to my AQ500 (110) and in a week the tank was bottled water clear.

activated carbon will remove the tannins... but as stated will take along time for the wood to stop...
