Yellowjacket Cichoid Species ID

I picked up a group of Parachromis friedrichsthalii from Live Fish Direct.

I’m wondering if they are P. Friedrichsthalii (formerly Loisellei) or if they are P. multifasciatus (formerly P. Friedrichsthalii).

I’m leaning towards P. Friedrichsthalii (formerly Loisellei).

I’m no expert but they look like the current taxonomic designation Freddy’s to me

Yes they definitely look like friedrichsthalii. I can’t imagine a company like LFD misidentifying a fish.

Thanks for the replies. I figured they were what was once known as Loisellei. It’s my first time keeeping a parachromis species other than dovii, so just wanted to confirm!

They’re a great pick up indeed, especially for only $18. I had them quite a few years ago in a 7ft tank and throughly enjoyed them as at least mine weren’t quite as homicidal as some other parachromis motaguense, managuense, and dovii towards tank mates.
