how much benfit would i have of leting my tank(75g being over run by alge all but the front glass? any real bemnfit my tank has a big bio load thanks guys :)

If you have any plants, the algae may kill them. Other than that the only real draw-back is aesthetics.

How much light do you have on your tank?

ITS A STANDAR LIGHT THAT COMES WITH THE 75G I HAV E3 AMAZON SWORDS SORRY CAPS

will they ruduce nitrate??

Like schaadrak said the algae may kill your plants. If the algae covers the swords, they wont be able to get the light that they need, and obviously then die. They can reduce nitrates, depending on your bioload though, it may not be very noticable if it is that high.

its not hight but i just want it to help reduce them :)

try a water change every now and then :) that should help with lowering nitrates better then an algae covered tank.

ok thnakis i'm doing daily water changes anyway :) this thread is very old too :)

nah well its kinda old becuase no one posted for a while and i don't want that i just ahve my amazon sword in my 10g now for my new 1" p bass he looks so small in the 10g i can't w8 to move him to the 75g then get some new fish :D
