There's a lot of dime sized baby indos showing up lately. There's a batch at a store that all has ich. One of them has the bars that I've been on the hunt for the past 2 years. Should I get it and add to my batch of indos and quarentine them? Or should I just pass? I've been hunting the past 2 years, but I don't want the disease to kill my whole batch. I don't have a spare growout tank..

They're .5" only though. Baby dats with disease can spread easily throughout the whole batch...

Even a 2g with heat and filtration will get him to good health enough to go in with the rest of the batch. The size is very easy to treat. Lots of salt and high heat.

Buy it and spend $10 on a 10g...or set up a 5g bucket w/ heater n filter. If you want it that bad you'd spend $30 on another grow out tank....thats cheaper than killing off your others w/ ich.

If u have good relations with your lfs, buy the fish first , but before you take it home, ask if they can treat it for whitespot. When it's recovered, then you'll know it's safer to put in your home tank.
It means leaving it at the shop for a while during treatment, at your risk however.

The owner is treating it while we speak. He's bringing in another batch in a week. I just don't want it gone when I check next week..

Well go and buy it and then it's reserved for you. Simple.

Id buy it, add it to the stock of grow outs and treat everyone at once... Prazi/Salt etc...
