had em a week thier spangling up around the black thinking a type of orino, or occel they are really shy eating blood worms and expensive feeders not on purpose a school of tiger barbs and a couple danios also chewed on a tinfoil barb that was too big and they leave him alone now I was trying to find some dithers to bring em out more, they are getting braver now, just wanted to see what you guys think....

They could be kelberis, but don't really take my word, only if everyone else agrees then I will get my credit :D

Look at the lower lip. It protrudes out like your typical mono. Soooo, we can roll out that they are orinos or ocells. So, now, look at the random "bars". Not of your typical monos or kelberis (wild or captive).

So, to me, they are hybrids.

Hmm thanks for the responses I'll snap some pics tommorow and see if the gold shows up around the spots along with the black markings near the eye of one of them... Food for the thought LFS ordered them as tems from segrest I dont believe they are tems but couldnt resist growing them out its been over two years since I had baby cichla...

Most likely Florida hybrids.

Not what I wanted to hear lol but what I expected... after checkin em out more one has like a wierd tail not fan like its kinda straight like...eh still gonna grow em out and hope they turn out cool heres a couple pics of each just did another WC so kinda blurry hookin em up every three days anyway ...

idk iv seen sone nice spangles on some ocells, so m=they could be ocell, but if they are goold then they might be kelberi.
 
Heres an update of these two hybrids.... if you notice in the last pic the one on the right still has that lame tail it doesnt fan out hes a better eater both on massivore now but that tail just bothers me lol...will see he might be a diamond in the ruff with a lame tail?

They're looking good I say grow'em out and decide later, but they're definitely some unique hybrids.
