hi I was wondering if anyone could post some pics of some HRP juveniles about 2cms? My cons had a couple of sets of babies a while back and as I explained in my earlier thread Convict? I am a little unsure of the fathers genetics and now the largest babies are now a bright pink all over with metallic blue gill plates&pectoral fins.. Is this normal? Thanks..

come on, 30 something views and no one that even thinks they know everything about fish to help me out?? hasn't pretty much every aquariaist had cons at some stage??? it is not a huge priority to find out what kind of baby cons i've got i'll admit but come on guys! the lonleyest thread on mfk

Dont have any pics. Never kept cons before for that matter, but, chances are its just the colouring of your fry.
(id personally imagine that most store bred cons have little bits of pink, marble, albino, black... maybe even some HRP (bit IMO that pretty slim) in their genes somewhere down the line)
Nothing to worry about as long as your fish are healthy. Get some pics up if you want you post to get attention. No one comes on here to solely answer questions, we come to perve on your fish too

ha ha thanks mate was starting to think that no one noticed my question! yeah was going to post pics but as soon as the light goes off before the pic gets taken the little buggers swim off. I just thought they look a bit unusual its like a flowerhorn pink glow all over, and the blue is shiny&metallic looking.. in all fairness i probably wouldn't have written back to this thread either so i guess it serves me right! anyways i may just keep one of them to grow out and see how it looks thanks for the help..
Sounds a plan. Only fish I've ever managed to grow out from fry was a horde of bronze corries. but its still nice to see what they turn into eh?
