Got a shipment of pearsi and syns from Dan, I have to say as always....flawless!!!!!

These guys are top notch with no issues even when the inspectors in Tampa ripped open the box for inspection, moved the warmer etc.

Yes it was;). As Dennis said, the box was inspected in Tampa, where they removed the heat pack, placed it under a bag, and stuffed it back in the box not sealing anything. The lid to the styrafoam cooler wasnt even sealed tight. A miracle anything made it and yet of the 24 fish shipped the number of casualties was wait for it... Zero! That was close to 24 hrs in conditions that were far from ideal. Total time in transit was 36 hrs. Shipping to Idaho is a pain. Great job Dan must be doing something right for sure.;)

congrats on your shipment but how is shipping to Idaho any different than shipping anywhere else??
 
Not much different other than the when going airport to airport, unlike most places that receive the shipment the same day or at least early the next morning, they almost never get here for at least 36 hours. Sometimes 48 or more. Not a really long time as long as everything goes as planned, but in this case it could have ended in disaster very easily. 36 hours in an unsealed cooler without a truly functional heat pack in the winter is serious stuff. You yourself know enough about shipping to know that is a recipe for disaster.
Shipping UPS next day is a viable option still but UPS doesn't get to my house until 4:00pm so the 2 hour quicker shipping isn't worth double the cost.
USPS express takes two full days instead of the usual one. So everything about shipping to Idaho just takes longer no matter how you go about it. Airport to airport really is the best option and Dan is good enough shipping that I have never had to worry. Even if something did go wrong he would make sure that I'm happy;)

Yeah I understand. And anyone trying to ship to me in Alaska one day USPS will always end up second day also. Ups overnite is always overnite. And yeah usually I don't get the drop off untill 4-6pm which I why I found out that if I have my packages shipped directly to a ups location nearby and I can go pick up around 11-12pm:) which ends up being around 18-20hrs vs 24-36:)and shippin options always revolve around the weather and holidays:) I've got a shipment coming in tomorrow from gage airport to airport. And although I can't get same day to Alaska if I have airport to airport option available, I'd rather go with that than ups overnite due to cheaper price:)

I picked up a package from Dan COA last night at SWA cargo in Ontario, CA. Ghage and Gatling will be very happy. A beautiful pair of Texas (male is easily 7 to 8 inches) and a whole bunch of istlanum's "red". All are healthy and doing well. You guys owe me for having me drive to the airport at 10:30 pm :) what we do for our wet pets lol. I won't even pick up a relative at the airport that late lol.
