Yet another 'I.D. My Weird Pleco Please' Thread.

I have 6 plecos, and this is the only one i can't I.D. Bought him a couple of months ago but has spent most of the time hiding, was out last night though. It was described as a 'Rusty Pleco' in the shop, No 'L' Number given, I can't find anything that looks like it to help me I.D. it. Was 3" when bought, now 5", how big will he get?

Good enough for me. Mine doesn't seem to have the plated body, but the brown pattern matches.

Its a Hypostomus cochliodon, they get to around 11" total length.

i'm 98 percent sure its a hypostomus soniae L 137

I missed out on getting one a while back reason of not getting it is that it does get to 11''-12''- been thinking about those guys ever since. If I ever set up a fish room those guys would define be on my list "to have" along with L024-L025s

Congratulations on your beautiful rusty pleco. THey're called rusty pleco sometimes, sometimes violet burnos (spellings might be off)
