A friend asked me to ID his fish and I don't know what it is so I'll turn to you folks for help.

He said "she held eggs in her mouth before, and she appears grey with stripes, and when aggressive she turns a opalescent blue with stripes.

I'm clueless... :screwy:

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Hm, Never though about that.
Possibly...
Thanks for your input.

Anyone else?

Looks exactly like my Metriaclima estherae, thing is mines a male and exhibits his bars at times but they never fade completely though his color does go from blue to bluer.

I have had Minos Reef Metriaclima blue reef and the female was blue with faint barring but they never got that large, mebbe 4 - 5" tops
