if you get them from the same litter and keep them fed they will be fine , i live in D.C and the pet stores always have a school of black piranhas.plus a school of gold piranhas.and they even have red bellies mixed with caribe piranhas .you have to keep the temp, atleast 75 to calm them down. And always keep a huge rock or drift wood ind the middle to seperate sections. The light has to be dem so that they are comfertable. A piranha can be in a tank for years and still be uncomfertable. And leave some fake plants drifting at the top .Now the problem will be if you try to put a piranha in the tank that is not from that litter they will be crushed. And you have to have a deesent tank size ofcourse you cant stuff 10 in a tank .I had 3 in a 55 gallon for 3 years .My dad kept 4 in a 120 gallon .and my cousin has 3 in a 90 gallon

There has been a few claims of this recently.
Yet i still do not see any pictures...

Photographic evidence and timely updates will be needed before the majority of us discard the accept belief they can not be...

after keeping piranha for years and seeing many people try and keep certain serras together i also feel that without picture evidence taken over a marked period of time then i dont think it is possible.

A picture is worth a thousands words....My cousin breeds Gold piranhas and keeps them in a shoal of 7......As for Black Rhoms being schooled from the same litter(if that's what you mean), pictures of the shoal growing throughout the shoals life to its present would be greatly appreciated....If it has been done before, that would be AMAZING seeing 4 10-15 inch Rhom swimming in a 120....

Personally, I'm not a SERRA fan, hence my signature....In several tanks, I have grown Caribe with Reds for periods lasting anywhere from 3 months to 2 years....Before takng my LONG break in 2004-Dec2005, I use to sell these fish, and breed them.....

To me a picture is worth all the words in the world.
Anyone can come up with claims in words, but pictures cannot lie. As long as the pictures are over a timely period (stages in the rhom’s cohabitation life).

Out of the three or four people i have heard make this claim in recent times, none of them produced pictures. So for the time being i am sticking to what is known. But that is not to say i want this to be true, and really want to see some pictures!

There's always seperating the Rhoms like Flowerhorns....Big tanks lined with Home Depot egg crates and suction cups.....I think the whole idea of two or three 12 inch piranha being seperated this way will give any first time on-lookers an eerie feeling....mwa-haha:FIREdevil

A 375 gallon with 3 sections, a big mean rhom in each. Patrolling their third of the tank.
That way you get the fun and convenience of more than one rhom in a tank, with out the expensive causalities.
