Had some cool fish tanks a few decades ago, and now getting back into it a little with my daughter, and turned on to this site by a friend. Cool stuff in here.
Got a 55 right now with 2 oscars, midas cichlid, managuense, tinfoil barb, pleco, and jack dempsey. All pretty small and getting along nicely so far. Looking to add a flowerhorn, snakehead, arowana, clown loaches, and a severum too. I am guessing most people will say everything won't get along, especially in that tank. I agree. I am trying to get them small and acclimated together somewhat for a month or two until I get a ridiculous tank for my basement. That will be my next thread. Plus I'm out of the loop as far as filtration goes and all that stuff.
Soon enough I'll be posting for info on a 500+ gallon tank, where to get it, how to best care for the fish, what is the best filter system, etc. Christmas present to myself and my daughter, so we are pretty excited already.
