You favorite freshwater fish

What is your favorite type of fish to keep and why?

Mine would have to be NW cichlids, due to their size, personality and look, it just appeals to me.

My choice is specifically fantails rather than common goldfish/koi, 'cause I think they have wonderful little characters and they can look stunning when they're bigger if cared for properly. Was really hard to choose though!

other. i say cichla is my favorite! perfect combo of beauty, power and personality makes these guys the perfect fish to me , just wish i had a tank large enough to keep them long term

Albino shark. Probably the best fish ever.. but to each their own as they say.

Just to point out, Cichla (peacock bass) are NW cichlids.

Puffers, they always remind me of my dog. They seem to like my attention, they are very curious and intelligent, and when it comes to food they turn into monsters. They are the pitbulls of the fish world.

I feel like i pretty much ticked every box... although Puffers would more than likely be my No.1 followed closely by eels / rays (which i think you forgot )

Oh, you also forgot plecos unless i missed it?
