You know what I like about catfish?

They are typically happy. Fat and happy. And they like to eye-ball their friends to figure out if they fit in their bellies.

Actually Largemouth Bass do the same thing, and other large fish. They will swim by their friends and eye-ball them intently, then stretch their mouths to see if their friends will get in their bellies.

Many large fish eating predators seem happy and fat, and would simply like their friends and aquarium chums to get in their bellies.

I agree. I can't have anything I'm my small tank without it being eyeballed. I have two small bumblebees and every time my other fish have bred or I put 100's of fry in there with them, they are well fed at the end of the week. I love those two fish, although they are not monster fish, my rebuttle to that is they have monstrous appetites! Catfish rule!
