The miss pronuciation of fish names! I have a costomer who continously calls Chilchlids. chicklids. unbelivable.

Thats nothing.. when I was working in a fish store people would get everything wrong. From Chilchlids to sucky sucky fish. Only one guy managed to say Buttikoferi...

What's a Chilchlid? lol It's spelled c-i-c-h-l-i-d. So I guess you can't be too hard on people that pronounce the names wrong.
Whenever you hear them pronounce it wrong, you should just be courteous and let them know how to pronounce it correctly.

which i am not so ashamed to say I have a hard time pronouncing, I turned to get a filter and she netted me 3 GOLDFISH!?! WTF so I tried saying Otocinclus, but since I didnt have the name there to read I was saying Otto-kikus or something around that.
Hmm I've always wondered about cichlids, how do you pronounce it? i call em SICH-LIDS my friend calls them SISS-LIDS.
