I'm an accountant for a district and today I found a grandmother embezzling. It's beyond doubt. She was taking cash and paying her personal bills with the business account. She paid her electric, gas, water straight from the account in question. I mean, I see this stuff all the time, it just happens, but this was so blatent and done with so little care that it was just rampant and unbelievable. I feel so bad. This woman is very loved, is a prominent member of the community, has been around forever. Her son just had serious surgery. I feel broken hearted that I found this. I LIKE this woman.

I guess I'm just feeling blah about it and needed to share. Sorry. :(

But seriously, bottom line, you should report her. Sorry if that's not what you wanna hear.
 
Report it or they will use this thread against you for not reporting the crime!

Cover it up and blackmail her is the only win/win dissolution.
 
Gf works at a bank. Her co worker was doing this for 12 years to pay for her gambling. Took 600k over the time period. She got probation....... Lmao. True story. Judge sent the bank an apology letter saying she needed help and prison wasn't the right place to get that help

What the?? Geez, steal over half a mill and get probation. But you better not attack anyone with a sandwich. That'll get you five days in the slammer

Yeah it was crazy. Got caught last summer. She was ordered to pay part of the money they couldn't recoup back though but still....

Wow that's freakin nuts.

I saw on TV one time if you steal an X amount of money (don't remember the exact, I wanna say 100k) you get to go to minimal security prison. And all it was is basically living in a motel 6. No cell mates either. Steal over that amount and you go to maximum security prison with all the rapists, murderers and what not and your cell mate looks like krich

So if I'm gonna be a thief, I'm stealing under that amount, or I'm gonna steal from a bank, as an employee and taking up gambling
