I give you a hint, it weights almost 2 Kg and is mostly made from iron. And it is one of my favorite pieces in my collection

your right. Its in very good shape. The problem is the rusting. If anyone of you knows how i can stop that process then help me.

a petroleum based oil would help prevent rusting. some sort of epoxy coating, I'd expect you'd have to remove the rust that is already there first or it would bubble enough to let the elements in again. a vacuum sealed enclosure, rust won't happen without oxygen. or a sealed chamber with a lot of silica desiccant to adsorb any moisture would probably work.
