Likes animals when she says "when you move out you better get a B&W tegu so i can come see it". lol, she always throws me off when she says things like that because she constantly tells me that she wants no more animals coming in but when i bring them in she loves them, she especially love my uros. Current adventure is trying to bribe her to let me set up a outside enclosure so i cam get my black throat monitor. But atleast she likes the hobby even though there is a cap. But i have no room anyways. :nilly: But i am lookin though. Hopin to save up for probably another year and then i gotta try to find a roommate with a job. Just had to share, makes me laugh with things like that.
 
Nice! I remember when I told my parents about my ball python. My Dad was like "a snake, what the heck do you want one of those for?", and my Mom was like " Awesome, can I come see it and hold it!?" :).
 
I remember my mom did not want me getting anymore critters while I was at home and she swore their electric bill was cut in half when I moved out and took all my cages. But, I always thought it was funny that she would throw a fit when I brought home a new critter because my parents owned a pet store. I think that is what is referred to as.....Irony.
 
haha, cool. I had to hide all my snakes from my step mom. She had a real phobia of them so I made it a point to show her the 12 snakes I had in tupperware racks in my closet when I was moving out. She has yet to visit my place because of all my animals. Maybe that's why I have so many....

My Mom (who lives across the country) said she wants a kinkajou though which I thought was pretty cool.
 
whenever i show off a new creepy crawly pet to my mom (herp or invert), she'd pretend to be interested and say "oh that is nice dear" without even looking at it.

i wish my mom was cool she goes into my room while im in school and plays on my computer for f*cking frontierville and feeds my fish and doesnt know a thing about them! ehh ill trade moms..
 
you are very lucky.. i had the best mom in the world as far as i was concerned ........except when it came to my love for pets...she wanted nothing to do with them... and i had pretty heart breaking experiences when i had to part with many... so enjoy your mom, she is awesome.
 
My mom would always tell me no more but would fall in love after I'd bring it in. She has 4 tarantulas of her own - soon to have 5. She was the one who taught me how to catch snakes when I was little. My dad is the one that never liked my hobby. My mom helped me hide about 10 milk and king snakes at one point lol
