I was at LFS yesterday killing time until my RTG landed at the airport. I came upon a tank of about 6 Vampire tetras and low and behold one of them was an Hydrolycus Armatus! SCORE! The tank was all scombs except for this one. It got even better... All I had to pay was the Vampire Tetra (Hydrolycus scomberoides) price on the tank. I will get some pics up today when my tank lights come on. I would blame the goodluck on the RTG but it wasn't in my possesion yet!

Here we go again at growing a monster! Once he is settled in I should be able to get some open water pics! Notice the white trim on his tail fin already! He also has some freckles on his face like my last 3 had when they were this small. I raised my previous ones from this size 3" to my biggest which was 22". Just recently lost my last 22" Armatus due to suicide by jumping!
