for a 180 or a 240 gal tank would you buy a wet/dry filter for a tank sized 300 or 400 gal capacity? and turn around the water 6 or more times in an hour considering the length of the tubing?

plus putting 2 Marineland Emperor BIO-Wheel Powerfilters or powerheads?

i like the water to stay as clean as possible and only having to change 25% every week or maybe once in 2 weeks.

not so much of an overkill just right to have great quality water

over filteration is no excuse to do less water changes

filteration does not remove nitrate or other orangics and impurities from the water

but other than that

thats my kind of filteration power!!!

Well, it would be easier to use an air pump, but a wet/dry does a really good job of increasing oxygen levels already. I would forget the skimmer. Go with huge amounts of filtration, and keep up on the water changes

okey... so i can use a large capacity wet/dry filter plus a protein skimmer and an air pump/powerhead? wow i know people can die from over oxygenation (from medical books) but do fish die of over O2? this is an honest question.... i just don't want the fish to die.
