Young aro not acting right

Just got my young aro in today and he is not acting right. He is balancing on his tail, not swimming around at all. When he does swim, e seems very confused and just floats around and then to the bottom. Then he stays there and then gets up and moves a bit and does it all over again. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Nitrates/nitrites both at 0
Ammonia at 0

What is the temperature? Did you acclimate him? A swimbladder problem could be it...or stress.
 
I did acclimate him and the temp is around 80. My initial thought was swim bladder as well. I'm just hoping its not something too serious

Thanks mr positive

Try adding a little salt, like .5%, and maintain really good water quality. If you just got this guy, I would tell the vendor and get a refund.
 
I dont think it can make it. Aros at that size r extremely fragile.

But keep the lights off and dont scare it. Hopefully it makes it

Well guys, he bit the bullet sometime last night. Found him this morning without his gills moving and non responsive to the touch. Gonna take him in and have the LFS order me another one.
