young dovii how fast do they grow?

have a group of young dovii just was wandering at about 2in how fast do they grow mine seem to be growing very fast is this to be exspected?

On 1-28-2011 my male was 3 inches.

I netted him out of the tank on 5-26-2011 and measured him at 7.5 inches exactly.
