Edmonton (CAN)
got him with 4 other Dovii when they were 2-2.5".
this one ended up dominating the 4 and killed the rest off.
he was the second biggest of all the fry i'm pretty sure that are still alive.
the biggest one is at my friends house who lives down the street.

i may put him in his own 120 in the next month or two
and move the rest of the CA's to a 180 gallon that i'm PLANNING to get.
if i don't, i may have to put him else where til i do.

nice! how long ago did u get him? i picked up 5 fry for $10 about a month ago and they have all grown over an inch already. i was debating what to do with the extras as it would be crazy to try house 5 without a pond but... ur plan sound good, survival of the fittest!
what u feeding?

i got my 4 in july for free!
he's around 6".

i would give the smallest 4/5 fry away and just raise the single fish.
my dovii turned the last dovii inside out somehow and i wish i had a 20 gallon
or something to put the fish in til i gave it away lol.

i feed them mysis shrimp, veggie deleight, hikari cichlid bio gold and regular gold, and blood worms.
he eats pretty much anything you throw in the tank.

does anyone have any suggestions for veg he might eat?
i hear cantelope is good but i threw a piece in a while ago and my pleco just munched on it.
