so i just tried to feed him this afternoon and when i dropped the small earthworm in sometimes he misses it .and fr the past 4 months when he would miss i would stick my arm in pick it back up and dangle again. well this time he went nuts annocked off 4 scales what did i do wrong? the only thing that has happened differently is i had some friends over yesterday and they watched. but he was fine then.

yes but whe i turned the light on this afternoon he was acting kind of scared he hasnt acted that way for monthes i got him at 4 inches and now he is 7.5 maybe 8 in
my silver has nocked off scales on some rocks and wood in the tank it grows them back fast(a few days to a week or so.). it is normal for it to get shy after an injury no matter how small it is.
