Young Male Dovii

I had my young 5" male Dovii in a 55 gal with a Poly and a 7" TSN, but I had a divider in the tank seperating the Dovii from the other fish because the Dovii was trying to murder the other two. Now that I have relocated the other fish and removed the divider, will my Dovii grow faster now that he has the tank all to himself ?

I have a male dovii about 8" in a 90g with a 7" TSN, they get along okay unless the TSN is going for a piece of tilapia that the dovii is interested in.

Well when did you get him and how long was the divider in there for?? My Dovii grows about 1.25- 1.5" a month so I don't know what kind of growth rate yours has as well as diet and WC Schedule. he should be able to grow another 3-4 inches before you HAVE to relocate him into a 180 or at least a 6x2 footprint.

In theory he should as long as he is not stunted and maintains a great diet and water params are good.
